CaloRhino privacy policy
CaloRhino is a calorie and exercise tracker developed by Cheeky Hen Softworks. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you can delete it. Questions: cheekyhensoftworks@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a password, which is stored only as a one-way hash.
- Profile details you choose to enter: birth month and year, height, age, sex, activity level, and your calorie and macro goals.
- What you log: food entries (name, calories, protein, carbs, fat, servings), exercise entries, body weight, and any foods or exercises you save for reuse.
- Server logs: like most web services, our server may briefly log technical details of requests (such as IP address and time) for security and troubleshooting.
We don't use advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and we don't access your contacts, location, camera, or other device data.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, store your log, and calculate daily totals, trends and suggested goals. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles for anyone else.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored on our server and sent to and from the app over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. It's kept for as long as your account exists.
Claude connector (optional)
If you choose to connect CaloRhino to Claude (by Anthropic) as a connector, Claude can log entries and read your daily summary on your behalf. Anything you say in those conversations is handled under Anthropic's privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time from Claude's connector settings, and deleting your CaloRhino account revokes the connection.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete account), or by following the steps at cheekyhensoftworks.fyi/calorhino/delete-account. Deletion is permanent.
Children
CaloRhino is intended for adults and isn't directed at anyone under 18.
Not medical advice
Calorie, BMR and goal figures are estimates for general information only. Talk to a health professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
